Weather in the Ohio Valley is always a little strange this time of year. Snow began to fall late Thursday night two weeks ago. I woke to find a light dusting of snow on the ground. I left at my usual time for work without much trouble. By noon the snow had accumulated on the ground to the depth of a few inches. With forecasts varying I decided to leave work early to avoid the abundance of snow that most meteorologists were agreeing was on it's way.
Parker was not happy.
Just one week later and spring has arrived. The snow has melted, birds are chirping, and leaves are beginning to emerge on some of my trees. We're not completely out of the woods. Weather in this area is completely unpredictible in Spring. We could be in for another few nights of sub freezing weather or possibly a freak snow storm. Stay tuned to learn how Spring 2008 unfolds in Kentucky.
This weekend I'm off to North Carolina to visit TheSis and meet my new nephew. A bonsai master in the making? How young is too young to hold concave cutters?
